Typically they are secured with rivnuts on the trucks that did not have the factory mountings in the front crossmember.  The rivnuts are not nearly as nice as the factory mountings.  I would mod the front crossmember to mimick that if possible

Hi everybody,

could anyone please give me some instructions as to how to fix a (Turner) drum winch to the front crossbar of the chassis? As it is necessary to fix it to the crossbar by drilling a number of holes in the crossbar itself , what kind of fixing do I have  to use, as it is impossible to reach inside the crossbar for a nut and bolt  job ? I obviously would like to have it as strongly fixed as possible.

Many thanks for any hint and a good day to everybody

Carlo
