NO WAY for a 1950! The 1118##### shows that it's one of the later-type 2-litre
engines, from the 58 model year.

I guess it would physically fit in — I have no first-hand experience, but the
1600/1997cc engines were basically the same, and only the ancillaries changed
slightly — but if you are looking for 1950 authenticity, then this is not the
engine for you.
